Security officers monitor sites to prevent theft, vandalism, fire, and other illegal and/or harmful situations. They are responsible for maintaining the safety of employees, residents, guests, and all people within an assigned location. Applicants who apply through Arizona Protection Agency have to meet a certain criteria to pass security officer requirements.
Applicants who apply to Arizona Protection Agency must meet the following requirements:
- Must pass an FBI background check.
- Must not have convictions for felonies or certain misdemeanors.
- Must pass any drug-screening test.
- Must be neat and professional in appearance and demeanor.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must own transportation with valid insurance.
- Public transportation does not qualify.
- Must pass our pre-screening process, including psychological assessment.
- Must have a smart phone.
- Must have adequate vision, hearing, and physical stamina.
- Must be able to write legible daily reports.
- Must have a desire to progress as a security professional.
- Must have good moral character
- Must be at least 18 years of age and at least a high school graduate or equivalent.
Security officer training requirements:
Must complete our in-house training Academy prior to working any post.
